United States : 100 Dollars, 2013; Paper : Reverse ; size : 156 mm x 66 mm
The Independence Hall in Philadelphia is one of the most historic buildings in the United States as it was the place where the nation's founding fathers debated and adopted the Constitution. Built in a Georgian architectural style, the iconic building is well engraved on this gritty grey note for more than 100 years, consistently on the 100-dollars' reverse. The 'United States Declaration of Independence' was signed in its Assembly Room. Coincidently, the image of the inside of the building is recreated on the reverse of the 2-Dollar bill, making this a rare UNESCO site that is emblazoned on two banknotes in concurrent circulation while reiterating the importance of this historic site in the nation's identity.
